Still Booming!  Baby Boomers Retiring Later
Should Baby Boomers just retire or go volunteer?  For economic and other reasons, people need and want to work well beyond age 65.  A look at baby boomers in the work place.

What is a Baby Boomer?
Born between the years 1946 and 1964, during the tremendous “boom” in childbirths after WWII, this group of individuals makes up 29% of the U.S. population – and other interesting descriptions.

The Power of Institutional Knowledge
When Baby Boomers leave the workplace they not only take years of experience with them, they take years of knowledge about the ins and outs of the company, knowledge not learned through a software program, from seminars, or from a training manual.  Institutional knowledge is an asset that is often overlooked in today’s workplace. And it’s a big reason many companies struggle when new employees take over.

Preventing Employee Turnover
The retention of key employees will become a big issue as people leave organizations in search of a better life.

Mentoring in the Workplace
Corporate Mentoring is fast becoming an integral part of the business plans of many successful corporations today.

Who - or What is Generation X?
There are nearly 77 million Baby Boomers in this country today, and most of the people in Generation X (47 million or so) are children of Boomers.

Great Expectations: Are College Grads Expecting Too Much?
If you’re going to hire a new college graduate, you’re probably going to be interviewing a much humbler individual than you may have interviewed five years ago. The Great Expectations have now turned into Hope for the Future.
